Doyles Room Poker ReviewDoyles Room is owned and operated by famous poker player Doyle Brunson, winner of 11 WSOP bracelets. At Doyles Room you will find fairly high traffic and a pleasant playing environment with an aesthetically pleasing interface. There costumer service is second to none and they offer a wide variety of bonuses and promotions. Doyles Room is open to US players. Along with fixed limit and no limit play in the various poker games, they offer Poker tournaments daily. The players at Doyles Room are typically looser than many of the other online poker rooms. The Look The Doyles Room site is stark and frankly a bit beta looking, and their graphics are notoriously cartoonish, but ultimately it gets the job done. A recent revamp has made the lobby both easier to navigate and a little edgier too, and has largely overhauled the choppy graphics that had become this otherwise nice room's unfortunate hallmark. Gone is the garish color scheme and in is the more traditional dark shades of gray and felt green, making the site, the lobby and the tables themselves much easier on the eyes. The Software Doyles Room is yet another major entry into the world of online poker that relies on its own special software package. Since the site's recent jump onto the Cake Poker Network, said software has improved significantly. Doyles Room is faster and more intuitive than ever before with all the must-have player options like notes and a new filtering set-up plus a handful of notable extras like a buddy tracker. As previously mentioned, the graphics are notably better than before though there's still room for improvement. The Games As one of the first and most successful Texas Hold'em players to ever live, it goes without saying that Doyle Brunson's poker room largely focuses on his signature game, though the site also hosts Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Stud games all in FL, PL and NL formats. You'll find lots of options in the low and middling stakes areas, though the high stakes tables are pretty limited. Though Doyles Room occasionally throws Omaha fans a bone, their tournaments are probably Texas Hold'em. Still, they offer a decent variety of formats with the obvious SNGs and MTTs, satellites, turbos and rebuys. They offer daily guaranteeds with prize pools of up to $12,000, a $100,000 weekly guaranteed and a monthly guaranteed with a top prize of $200,000. The Players The competition at Doyles Room, even in high stakes Texas Hold'em, is uncommonly soft. While their traffic is a bit on the low side – around 15,000 during peak hours – there's still enough to fill a few Hold'em tables at every stakes level and to offer fairly consistent action in low stakes Omaha too. Tight players be warned, though, because the flop percentages here are high and there are more than a few maniacs. The Promotions Where Doyles Room really excels is in their promotional package. They start new players off right wth a 110% first deposit bonus good for up to $550. They offer the usual tournament perks – like big bounties, frequent freerolls and some budget-friendly MTTs – then they mix things up with a Royal Flush Brag bonus, a Brunson 10 challenge, and a generous and unique loyalty points program called Gold Rewards. If we could make one addition, it would be more satellites. The Help The Doyle's Room website is somewhat lacking in useful information, but the good news is that they offer 24/7 support via three different services: email, live chat and toll-free phone. Rumor has it that Doyles Room can be slow to pay uninvited pros, but it's not a problem we've personally encountered.
